Our inspiration for picking up the camera has and always will be our couples. Katrina and I have been fortunate enough to not only have these people accept us to document the most important day of their lives, but also to accept us to be their friends and family. Your stories are our life.

Brandon started his photography career in college when he joined the school newspaper. A passion for capturing real moments and telling the story led him to become the photography editor and win several awards for his coverage within only a year. Shortly afterwards he began shooting weddings with Katrina using this same style. The rest is history.

I tagged along with my friend Jason Q Tran to shoot this beautiful wedding in LA. Credits for the first frame goes to Jason who set it the shot up. Sorry Jason I couldn’t resist, I simply love that photo. Jason also did something very unique in that all of the pictures he blogged were “monochromatic.” Check out his post here. On the other hand I decided to do the opposite and portray every image in vibrant color. You as a viewer will get to see the wedding from two completely different perspectives. Speaking about the wedding, the weather was perfect, the bride was gorgeous, and the guests were very welcoming. What more could I ask for?

Johanna + Francis | Engagment

Francis, Johanna, and I started our journey together late afternoon at four and before I knew it I was giving them hugs and saying goodbye close to ten at night. I don’t think I ever had such a strong connection during an engagement session.

These two are truly a blessing to be around. Both their love for each other and their story are inspirational, which is why they wanted me to capture their reenactment of their first date through my lens. Their epic first date began at the (delicious) Filipino restaurant and bakery, Goldilocks, and ended up with Francis calling in sick from work so he could spend the night with Johanna at a friend’s party. Francis worked a graveyard shift right before the date, so when the day was over he had been awake a full twenty four hours. Talk about a memorable day.

Thank you so much for the hospitality Johanna and Francis. We need to make a trip down to Zenko soon :)
