Our inspiration for picking up the camera has and always will be our couples. Katrina and I have been fortunate enough to not only have these people accept us to document the most important day of their lives, but also to accept us to be their friends and family. Your stories are our life.

Brandon started his photography career in college when he joined the school newspaper. A passion for capturing real moments and telling the story led him to become the photography editor and win several awards for his coverage within only a year. Shortly afterwards he began shooting weddings with Katrina using this same style. The rest is history.

Thay + Tieng

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

When Thay and Tieng asked us to shoot at the Bradbury building and surrounding areas in downtown Los Angeles, we couldn’t help but say yes. Our little adventure took us to the LA Library, LA Theatre, The Standard, and a gastropub named Public School where we grabbed some great gourmet burgers and microbeer (our favorite).

If you were to walk into their Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia filled apartment, you would be surprised to discover that they actually all belong to Thay, who is a die hard sci-fi fan. Tieng, I would say you definitely found a keeper. Katrina and I had a blast exploring Los Angeles and we can’t wait to see the couple again soon for their wedding in Pasadena.

Megan + Scott

Megan and Scott love their weekend trips to Newport Beach because of the significance to the beginning of their relationship. They have spent many of their memories surfing, bike riding, and hanging at the local bar, Malarkey’s.

It seemed fitting that we use Southern California’s sunny beach as our backdrop for the two. After having enjoying churro’s and strolling around Balboa Fun Zone, we headed over to Malarkey’s to shoot at the exact bar they first met. During our session the couple couldn’t help from smiling, and that in itself is an indication of how much they love each other. We can’t believe the wedding is already two months away. It seems like yesterday Megan and Scott were in our studio sipping wine and watching slideshows together.

Stephanie + Chris

Stephanie and Chris love wine, cooking, and staying at home, so it was an obvious choice to photograph them at their very own house. They just recently bought the property and told us that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives there with their kids, which made it even more special. Katrina and I felt right at home as we photographed the couple making their famous chili dip, opening up a favorite bottle of Bordeaux, and playing with their dog Roxy. We absolutely cannot wait for their wedding coming up later this year

Terri + Nikola

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

One of the first things Terri said to us was “I apologize in advance if I become the pickiest bride you’ve ever worked with” which was fine with me and Katrina because it made us want to work that much harder. In fact, our engagement session wasn’t hard at all. Terri and Nikola are a couple that we could shoot all day and be up for whatever tasks we give them, even if it means squeezing all four of us in a bathroom stall to get a shot.

Terri is an interior architect and has done many designs for Louis Vuitton, Chipotle, and Veggie Grill throughout the country, which is why they both decided to shoot at the Pearl and Se Hotel, where they used to frequent for drinks before moving to New York.

Their wedding at the London Hotel is coming up in a couple of days and we can’t wait to shoot their Persian/Serbian celebration. See you guys soon!

Kristina + Brandon

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Katrina Santos

Kristina and Brandon’s wedding took place at Falkner Winery in Temecula Wine Country. With the natural foliage and beautiful sunset as its backdrop, their wedding was nothing short of beautiful. Throughout the day, Brandon and I couldn’t help but hold back tears. This day was important not just because they were finally getting hitched, but also because they were coming together and forming a new family with their three beautiful children.

Kristina and Brandon and definitely reminders of why we love our job so much. As the couple browsed through their photos for the first time, they cried, laughed, and cried some more as they relived their wedding day over again.
