Our inspiration for picking up the camera has and always will be our couples. Katrina and I have been fortunate enough to not only have these people accept us to document the most important day of their lives, but also to accept us to be their friends and family. Your stories are our life.

Brandon started his photography career in college when he joined the school newspaper. A passion for capturing real moments and telling the story led him to become the photography editor and win several awards for his coverage within only a year. Shortly afterwards he began shooting weddings with Katrina using this same style. The rest is history.

Kristel + Trevor

We first met Kristel and Trevor two years ago and since then, we’ve kept a close friendship amongst the four of us. I can still remember the day Trevor was elaborating on his plans to propose to Kristel at their childhood elementary school after six years of dating. We all couldn’t be more excited. Just last month the two tied the knot and it was nothing short of emotional. We could instantly tell how close the two families have grown the past six years and how much their relationship has matured with them.

They were married at the historical Heritage Museum Kellogg House, a truly wonderful place to shoot. We instantly fell in love with the victorian property with it’s old classrooms (which seems fitting since Kristel’s plans to becoming a teacher), a large ship mast that had been salvaged and incorporated into the house’s staircase, as well as historic blacksmith shop. Kristel and Trevor both love the Victorian era, and the Kellogg House was the perfect fit for their intimate wedding.

Desiree + Eric

There’s something about Desiree and Eric that draws us to them so much. Maybe it’s the way they look at each other, their devoted faith, or their sibling’s heartfelt speeches. It could be because they are always playing around with each other and are just so easy to photograph. No matter what it is, these two will always be one of our favorite couples we have ever had the pleasure to document and we can’t wait to see their marriage blossom.

Huge thanks to Catherine Cindy Leo for doing an amazing job with the coordination and design.

Sushmita + Virag

After being nearly awake for 48 straight hours for their wedding festivities, Sushmita and Virag hopped on a plane to Turks and Caicos to celebrate their newly married life. When they came back, Virag had little time to settle down since him and his friends planned an expedition throughout Southeast Asia to celebrate his bachelor party. To say this couple is adventurous is an understatement. Needless to say, we had a blast at this wedding.

Design, rentals, and coordination were done by the famous Smita Mohindra of Ethnic Essence who we always have a pleasure working with.

Lisa + Patrick

During our first meeting with Lisa and Patrick, Brandon and I realized we that had many things in common. Both Lisa, Brandon, and I had attended the same college, worked at the same newspaper, and all four of us recently purchased new homes in the same neighborhood. With all these things in common, we had an instant connection and became friends immediately.

Since then we had eagerly been anticipating their wedding day and when it came it did not disappoint. Instead of a traditional father-daughter dance, Lisa and her dad got down to hip hop music which was actually suggested by her parents. On top of that they gave us plenty of portrait time at one of our favorite venues Black Gold.

Lisa and Patrick, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day and declaring us your “life photographers.” We will always be ready with our cameras to photograph the next step of your life.

Terri + Nikola

Terri and Nikola looked through almost every single venue to finally find the London Hotel to be the location of their lavish Persian Serbian wedding. In the morning, Terri and Nikola had both coincidentally sent each other a note slipped inside of a glass bottle, which was the beginning to their emotion filled day. The couple wanted everything to be perfect and it was nothing short of it.

Both cultures blended together seamlessly throughout the ceremony and especially during the reception, where the crowd danced for nearly five hours straight into the night. The festivities ended with the Persian tradition of throwing the flower petals on the bride and groom, which was the perfect ending to the perfect wedding.
