Our inspiration for picking up the camera has and always will be our couples. Katrina and I have been fortunate enough to not only have these people accept us to document the most important day of their lives, but also to accept us to be their friends and family. Your stories are our life.

Brandon started his photography career in college when he joined the school newspaper. A passion for capturing real moments and telling the story led him to become the photography editor and win several awards for his coverage within only a year. Shortly afterwards he began shooting weddings with Katrina using this same style. The rest is history.

Hannah + James

If there was one thing James and Hannah wanted for their wedding, it was for it to be at Pelican Hill. After booking the venue a mere two months before their proposed date, the couple took on the nearly impossible task of planning and created a beautiful wedding nothing short from perfect. From the day we met Hannah and James, we knew that they were romantics. James was even daring enough to “graffiti” on rocks overlooking the Monterey cliffs during his proposal, which you can see from their engagement with us here. If writing on rocks wasn’t enough, James sent Hannah six dozen red roses during the morning and then surprised everyone with a sky writer who spelled out J “hearts” H. The celebration didn’t stop until their after party at a local brewery where we all danced and celebrated until the wee hours of the night.

Special thanks to Laurie Davis from Five Star Weddings for doing an amazing job coordinating the wedding.

Linda + Julio

Even though Katrina and I have photographed in Los Angeles countless times, we have always wanted the opportunity to shoot at LACMA. That’s why when Linda and Julio told us about their plan to shoot around Santa Monica, take a stop at the famous Urth caffe, and then finish the night at the renovated lamp posts we were more than excited.

We loved the couple for being so outgoing and enthusiastic throughout the shoot. I think at one point in time we asked Julio to lift Linda up for almost half a minute straight. That’s dedication!

Sachee + Abhishek | Part 2

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

One of our largest and most favorite weddings of the year had to be split up in to two parts. We spent three days with Sachee and Abhishek during which we photographed for nearly twenty four hours. The hardest part though, was realizing that it was finally over. Katrina and I were treated like family throughout the entire duration of the wedding and we couldn’t help but feel sad to say goodbye.

Sachee and Abhishek had over four hundred guests in attendance from all around the world, which is a testament to how much their friends and family care about them. They are a couple that can be professional and collected in one minute and in the next minute be completely down to earth and silly, which is our favorite trait about the two. We also had the pleasure of working with our favorite coordinator, Smita of Ethnic Essence who perfectly planned out the entire wedding. Her team even hand made the humungous canopy specifically for their ceremony site.

We only posted a fraction of the photos. In order to see the rest check out their Pacific Palms wedding slideshow below or here:

Annika + Kunal

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

The couple’s eyes first met four years ago on the shores of Miami beach, but their encounter didn’t last long. Shortly afterwards Kunal had to continue his medical school studies in New York and Annika returned to her home in Germany. Distance wasn’t enough to separate them though, and soon enough they somehow managed to make the relationship work. Last summer Kunal planned a trip to Italy’s Amalfi coast where he proposed to Annika under Positano’s famous Tunnel of Love. After hearing this story during our initial meeting, Katrina and I knew that these two were going to be a breeze to photograph, and they were. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for their wedding coming up later this year.
