Our inspiration for picking up the camera has and always will be our couples. Katrina and I have been fortunate enough to not only have these people accept us to document the most important day of their lives, but also to accept us to be their friends and family. Your stories are our life.

Brandon started his photography career in college when he joined the school newspaper. A passion for capturing real moments and telling the story led him to become the photography editor and win several awards for his coverage within only a year. Shortly afterwards he began shooting weddings with Katrina using this same style. The rest is history.

Karen + Ed

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

When Katrina and I first started to document weddings, fellow photographers Karen and Ed (Atrero Photography) were one of the first people to really believe in us and appreciate our work. With that said, we were extremely humbled and honored when they asked us to shoot them in celebration of their ten year anniversary.

A great time is guaranteed whenever you’re spending time with the couple. We actually found it difficult to photograph at some points because we couldn’t stop laughing. Near the end of our shoot we walked the streets of East Village in San Diego and ended the night with gourmet burgers and flights of beer at one of their favorite gastropubs.

Anne + Neil

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

After eighteen years of dating I think everyone was relieved to see that Anne and Neil finally tied the knot. They also did it in a way that Katrina and I have never seen before. Somehow the couple managed to blend a Hindu and Christian ceremony together and pull it off in just under an hour. It was concise, vibrant, and emotional. It really was the perfect way to do it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to photograph. It was one of those nights where you could feel the amount of happiness and joy bouncing between both of the families.

Hannah + James

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Katrina Santos

When Hannah and James suggested that Brandon and I go up north to Monterey for their engagement shoot, we were more than excited. Our first stop was on top of Monterey’s beautiful cliffs, where James proposed to Hannah by having her decode a message he spray painted on the rocks that was a variation of “Will you marry me?”

Little did we know that we were in for a little adventure. When the four of us finally reached the proposal site, we encountered some of the strongest winds we’ve ever experienced! Our cameras were literally lifting out of our hands all while at the edge of a very high vantage point, which wasn’t good for Brandon who has a big fear of heights.

Despite the crazy weather, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful spot to photograph. We drove through Monterey’s cliffs, toured a gorgeous seaside, and ended the night with dinner and drinks in Cannery Row. Although it was only a two day trip, we soon knew that we had gained two beautiful new friends. Hannah and James, we can’t wait until your wedding.

Desiree + Eric

Photographed by Brandon Wong and Katrina Santos. Written by Brandon Wong

Katrina and I shot Desiree and Eric at Descanso Gardens where they had their first date. While walking through the trails, they both seemed to go back in time to that very moment. The entire time Desiree and Eric could not help from joking around and simply having fun throughout the laughter filled session. It’s people like Desiree and Eric that make our job easy, fun, laid-back and enjoyable. Later on we stopped by their usual date locations in Old Town Pasadena and ended the night with some great conversation over sushi.
